Following the incredible success of the Vienna Boys Choir performance at First Presbyterian Church, we are honored to be presenting the Vienna Girls Choir at Front Street Methodist Church in their first ever tour to the United States!
The Vienna Girls Choir was founded in 2004 as a counterpart to the Vienna Boys Choir. What began with a handful of singers has now grown into a professional chamber choir of 25 dedicated young ladies between the ages of 10 and 14. The girls are taught using the methods of the Vienna Boys Choir. The aim is to achieve a natural, effortless sound and a wide-ranging repertoire.
On special occasions, they appear with the Vienna Boys Choir –in 2018 at the Climate Summit in the Vienna Hofburg, in 2023 at the Vienna Philharmonic New Year’s Concert and at the reopening of the Austrian Parliament, at the gala concert celebrating 525 years of the Vienna Boys Choir and in 2025, at the Vienna Boys Choir Mother’s Day Concert at Vienna’s Musikverein.
In 2023, the Vienna Girls Choir received the Austrian Music Theatre Award, and in 2024, they were awarded the European Culture Prize together with the Vienna Boys Choir.

As of September 2024, the girl choristers have been attending the Vienna Boys Choir grammar school. The academic year is divided into terms: two terms are devoted to school, the third term is devoted to concerts and touring. In 2025, the choir visited Austria, Slovenia, Switzerland, Germany and Italy; in 2026, they are set to tour China.
The Vienna Girls Choir is officially part of the historic Vienna Hofmusikkapelle (Chapel Imperial), and from September 2026, the girls’ choir will take turns with the four boys’ choirs at singing mass in the Imperial Chapel.
